Sales and Marketing Specialist

Full Time Olathe, KS, US

4 days ago Requisition ID: 1018

Help tell and sell the story behind the equipment that keeps aviation moving.

Location: Olathe, Kansas | On-site| Domestic & International Travel

We’re a specialized team doing work that has a much bigger impact than our initial size might suggest. Our world sits at the intersection of aviation, manufacturing, customer experience, and Global impact.

Global Ground Support builds specialized ground support equipment that plays an important role in how aircraft, cargo, passengers, and packages move safely and efficiently around the world. We are also the sole supplier of deicers to the United States Air Force and other Armed Forces since 1999—we truly are global.

We’re looking for a Sales & Marketing Specialist who is career focused, creative, highly organized, adaptable, and excited by the opportunity where every day is different.

You’ll have a seat close to the business — working directly with leadership, customers, supporting sales opportunities, creating content, attending industry events, helping develop proposals, and contributing to the overall business success.

Our team works in the Olathe, KS office vs. remote or hybrid.

Our Culture

We value attitude, adaptability, work ethic, and a willingness to learn over checking every box on a skills list. Bring curiosity, initiative, fresh ideas, and a desire to grow, we’ll help you build the skills to succeed.

The Opportunity

Manufacturing may not sound exciting on paper, but being part of a 30-year success story is. What makes it meaningful is our people, our commitment to doing things right, and the mission behind what we build.

Our equipment plays a critical role in national security, aviation operations, cargo movement, and passenger safety. We’re proud to support the companies that keep the world connected and flight operations safe—and the dedicated people behind that mission.

A Long Runway for Growth

We're intentionally hiring this role with growth in mind. The runway is long because the opportunity is broad.

We’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us — and who understands that growth comes from earning trust, taking ownership, doing excellent work, and continually raising your own standard.

The Role:

The role is intentionally broad, with approximately 25% of your time in each of four areas:

25% — Marketing & Branding

  • Create and manage marketing materials (digital content, presentations, brochures, case studies, product sheets).
  • Support website management, social media scheduling, and digital engagement strategies, including LinkedIn.
  • Create casual, authentic content from our people, projects, facilities, equipment, and day-to-day work.
  • Take photos and short-form videos and help turn them into compelling social content.
  • Help develop content that tells the story of our products and the impact they have on aviation and our customers.
  • Develop and organize marketing materials, presentations, customer-facing content, and digital assets.

25% — Trade Shows, Events & Industry Presence

  • Take the lead on managing and execution of trade shows, conferences, customer events, and industry gatherings.
  • Travel to conferences and events throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
  • Coordinate logistics, materials, timelines, shipments, meetings, and follow-up.
  • Help brainstorm ways to make our presence stand out in a crowded industry.
  • Assist with booth concepts, displays, promotional materials, presentations, and other event experiences.
  • Represent the company professionally and confidently with customers, partners, and industry contacts.
  • Capture content and stories while we're there.

25% — Proposal Development & CRM Management

  • Support preparation and development of customer proposals, quotations, presentations, and related sales materials.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of sales tools, templates, and resources.
  • Maintain accurate customer, prospect, and opportunity information within the CRM.
  • Track activities, next steps, follow-ups, and important customer information.
  • Learn our products, customers, sales process, and industry well enough to become an increasingly valuable part of the commercial team.
  • Conduct market intelligence and conduct research upon request.
  • Create and execute email campaigns for sales, parts, service, training.
  • Support customer communication and follow-up on those campaigns.
  • Assist with customer onboarding and implementation.
  • Manage customer SWAG and seek opportunities to connect with our customers.
  • Look for opportunities to make the customer experience smoother, clearer, and more personal.

What You Can Offer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in marketing, communications, event planning, with an eye for detail, extra points for proposal development, account reconciliation or other skills.
  • Experience with some of the following is a plus:
  • Trade shows or event planning
  • Social media and content creation
  • LinkedIn
  • Photography or video
  • Canva, Adobe, or similar creative tools
  • CRM systems
