Qualifications

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Interest in sales, account management and client engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Support pipeline development and growth through market research and customer analysis.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, and meeting materials for customer engagements.
  • Assist with project management and coordination to track priorities and progress.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Account Management, Business Development, Marketing, Product and Services.
  • Participate in customer meetings and sales calls to learn customer engagement strategies.
  • Leverage data and insights to identify trends and inform recommendations.
  • Gain exposure to Mastercard's products, services, and payments industry.

Job description

  • As an Intern, you will be part of a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your work directly supports customer impact and business growth
  • You’ll gain exposure to how data, strategy, and client engagement come together to drive outcomes across Sales, Account Management, and Business Development
  • Support pipeline development and growth opportunities through market research and customer analysis
  • Contribute to customer strategy and engagement, including preparing presentations, proposals, and meeting materials
  • Support sales and business initiatives through project management and coordination, helping track priorities, monitor progress against key objectives, prepare status updates, and facilitate collaboration across teams to drive execution and customer outcomes
  • Leverage data and insights to identify trends, inform recommendations, and support business planning
  • Collaborate across Sales, Business Development, Account Management, Marketing, Product, and Services teams to drive aligned outcomes
  • Participate in customer meetings and sales calls as an observer, gaining exposure to customer engagement strategies, relationship management, and Mastercard’s solutions to prepare for future customer-facing responsibilities
  • Projects other Sales Analyst Interns have worked on:
  • Marie leveraged earnings reports and market research to assess a large retail customer’s strategic priority, providing insights, enabling Account Management teams to tailor product solutions
  • Johnny assessed the US FinTech and Digital Merchant ecosystem to identify high-potential customer and inform sales strategy
  • Sam helped the Business Development team research international markets and helped build pipelines to support new business opportunities and renewals
