Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales or related field or 3 years minimum is preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Experience with Lottery operation/industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Visit retailers on the established territory route schedule weekly.
  • Exceed weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Conduct business review presentations with key decision makers.
  • Establish and maintain rapport with decision makers at each retailer.
  • Review sales trends, goals and opportunities with retailers.
  • Educate retailers and lottery players on all instant and draw games provided by the Lottery.

SAM II’s are responsible for visiting and managing retail accounts within their designated territory. They are responsible for managing, maintaining and increasing expense budget within their assigned region. Each SAM II works together with the Oklahoma Lottery and the Scientific Games team to grow sales, enhance merchandising, increase recruitment and train the retailers. The position requires the ability to work with minimal daily supervision as well as work independently.Job Functions:SalesVisit all retailers on the established territory route schedule per weekAccountable to exceed weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales targetsConduct business review presentations with key decision makersEstablish and maintain rapport with decision makers at each retailerReviews sales trends, goals and opportunities with retailerAnalyze and utilize data daily to influence retail decision makers on their Lottery needsPromote Oklahoma Lottery products upon each retailer visitCreate retailer action plans to increase incremental sales at key retailersSell in signage or additional equipment to retailersGrow the Oklahoma Lottery Instant game portfolio by increasing bin count utilizing sales performance dataEducate retailers and lottery players on all instant and draw games provided by the LotteryParticipate and engage in all Scientific Games Inc. and Oklahoma Lottery sales meetings by providing sales trends feedbackMerchandisingEnsure proper inventory levels are maintained for every retailer within the designated route territoryEnsure all products are in stock and ready to be soldProvide and maintain each retailer with updated Point of Sale material upon each sales callAchieve and maintain the best placement for all Lottery games and Point of Sale material in each retail establishmentAdhere to all Oklahoma Lottery policies and procedures within each retailerMaintain all proper Lottery information guides in each retailerEnsure all equipment is working correctly upon each retail sales callDocument each sales call electronicallyConduct promotions at the retailer level, interreacting with the retailer and lottery consumer/playersRetailer RecruitmentIdentify potential locations which could possibly sell Oklahoma Lottery gamesProvide feedback to Sales Manager on potential locations as process requiresRetailer TrainingConduct training with retailer employees on the policies and procedures of the Oklahoma LotteryEducate Lottery customers/players about current initiatives while working in retail locationsProvide hands-on training for related Lottery retailer equipmentGeneral Responsibilities:Maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism in completing all responsibilities and duties while representing both Scientific Games Inc, and the Oklahoma LotteryAdhere and uphold all policies set forth by Scientific Games Inc and the Oklahoma LotteryMaintain a safe work environment and clean driving recordPerform annual training requirements All other duties as assignedQualificationsEducation and/or Experience Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Sales or related field or equivalent experience of 3 years minimum is preferredExperience with the Lottery operation/industry is preferredValid Driver’s License and clean driving record (to be maintained)Skills/Abilities:Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detailExperience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPointAbility to remain tactful and diplomatic in difficult situationsAbility to train others on products and promotionsAbility to quickly troubleshoot both mechanical and system issuesPositive and self-motivated attitudeAbility to work individually and with others as a teamPhysical Demands : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
