Ideal Candidate Profile

The candidate should have extensive experience in technical sales, a strong business background to engage at the executive level, and a technical understanding to communicate our product offerings effectively with technical contacts. This role is an independent contributor position.

Expectations for Success
  • Extensive experience in identifying, qualifying, and closing new customers (Hunter Role)
  • Manage sales activities with new prospects
  • Lead onboarding of new products and services for clients
  • Demonstrate product value propositions via web or in-person meetings
  • Develop and nurture relationships across client organizations
  • Educate clients to maximize product utilization
  • Support a customer base comprising technical, engineering, marketing, legal, and procurement staff
  • Engage with senior and director-level executives to understand their business needs
  • Collaborate with technical account management and sales teams to review account health and identify growth opportunities
  • Advocate for customer requirements internally within Ookla
  • Continuously update your knowledge of new technologies to support customer growth
Minimum Requirements

  • Ability to travel domestically for client engagements
  • Experience in telecommunications markets (fixed/mobile networks, access)
  • Minimum 5 years in sales or business development
  • Strong communication skills across diverse global markets
  • Strategic account planning and execution skills
  • Experience with Salesforce (SFDC)
  • Responsible, efficient, able to work independently
  • Experience negotiating sales contracts with a consultative approach
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
