Job description

Sales Account Executive
Our client is seeking a Sales Account Executive to join their growing commercial team focused on delivering high-performance test and measurement solutions across industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving new business, expanding existing relationships, and managing complex sales cycles within a defined territory. This is a remote role based in the Greater Detroit area or on the East Coast and includes regular travel.

This role is fully remote. Candidates must reside in Eastern Time Zone or Central Time Zone locations.

  • Drive revenue growth by meeting or exceeding annual sales targets within a designated group of accounts.
  • Strategically identify and pursue new business opportunities through targeted outreach and account planning.
  • Build and strengthen customer relationships at all organizational levels, including technical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
  • Assess customer needs and propose tailored technical solutions, including pricing and configuration details.
  • Manage long-cycle, high-value sales opportunities ($250K+) with precision and persistence.
  • Partner with internal teams including marketing, engineering, and service support to ensure customer success.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor positioning, and emerging technologies.
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce for forecasting, pipeline development, and performance analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in technical sales, preferably in data acquisition systems or related technology.
  • Proven success in consistently meeting or surpassing aggressive sales targets in growth-oriented markets.
  • Familiarity with the automotive, aerospace, and broader industrial sectors, including established customer contacts.
  • Skilled in leveraging tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator for prospecting.
  • Proficient in Salesforce for opportunity management and reporting.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
  • High level of self-motivation, accountability, and adaptability.
  • Willingness to travel 40–60% within the assigned territory.
