KCRA 3, the NBC-affiliate in Sacramento, CA, offers an Entry Level Sales Account Associate program to train you into a future Sales Account Executive. You will support the sales team with advertising contracts, creative materials, and campaign launches, reporting to the Local Sales Manager and attending in person.

KCRA 3, the NBC-affiliate in Sacramento, CA, is looking for a Sales Account Associate. As a Sales Account Associate, you will work with the sales team on processing and advertising contracts, obtaining creative materials, generating support materials for sales teams, and coordinating the scheduling and launch of advertising campaigns. This individual will work closely with the advertising sales team to ensure effective placement of sales activity. The Entry Level - Sales Account Associate position is a training sales program that will develop Sales Account Associates into Sales Account Executives. You will report to the Local Sales Manager. In person attendance is required.

Training

• Comprehensive 10-12 month training, with ongoing career development and opportunities through the Hearst Sales Development Program.
• Learn industry-leading communication and sales techniques.
• Train with top sales producers.
• Learn software skills such as WideOrbit and other sales platforms.
• Roleplay and practice presentations regularly.

Responsibilities

• Assist the development of sales proposals, advertising packages, and client presentations.
• Create supportive marketing materials for the sales department.
• Prepare proposals based on account executive requests.
• Effectively communicate with our teams (including sales, production, finance) and external clients on performance and delivery of campaigns.
• Enter and maintain all orders including electronic transfer and maintenance of WOCentral orders to WideOrbit.
• Maintain and organize sales database.

Requirements

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, manage multiple projects, and tight deadlines.
• Can deal with the stresses and pressures of time-sensitive projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Excellent social, intrapersonal, and presentation skills.
• Must be highly-focused and organized, detail oriented.
• Proficient in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets).
• Must have an enterprising spirit with a goal of becoming a media sales account executive in 10-12 months.
• Related military experience will be considered.

Salary Range

The estimated base salary range for this role is between $46,000 and $50,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands and conditions, including geographic location where the work will be performed, and other factors permitted by law. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
