Job summary

Mellow Mushroom SSI is seeking a Pantry Cook who can learn each line—from Salad/Appetizer to Sandwich/Grill to Pizza/Expo—and support the kitchen with a positive, team-driven approach.

Experience is helpful, but we offer training. The role emphasizes staying on track with prep, maintaining sanitation, and helping with ToGo orders while upholding Mellow’s vibe of teamwork and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience is welcome but training is provided.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
• Willingness to learn and be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Portion, prepare, and assemble menu items (Munchies, Greens, and Sweets).
• Possess a solid sense of timing; follow cooking and plating procedures for timely, fresh meals.
• Ensure food quality and presentation meet Mellow standards; take pride in work.
• Set up workstations with ingredients and cooking equipment; assist kitchen staff as needed.
• Maintain a sanitized, safe, orderly kitchen environment.
• Monitor stock, refill items, and place orders for shortages.
• Stand for long periods and maintain a positive attitude.

You’re a hard worker, a food lover, and a solid teammate. As Pantry Cook for Mellow Mushroom St Simons, you’ll learn each line from Salad/Appetizer to Sandwich/Grill to Pizza/Expo. What’s more, you’ll have everyone’s back. You aren't shy to jump in and help where needed. Whether it's some additional prep items needed or a crush of ToGo orders, you rise to the challenge of getting the job done and getting it done right. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Portion, prepare, and assemble menu items (Munchies, Greens, and Sweets) as requested.

• Make sure food quality and presentation live up to Mellow standards; take pride in your work.
• Set up workstations with ingredients and cooking equipment; help kitchen staff when requested.
• Help maintain a sanitized, safe, and orderly environment in the kitchen.
• Monitor stock, refill necessary items, and place orders for shortages.
• Be comfortable standing for long periods and lifting heavy items while keeping a positive attitude.
