Job summary

The GIANT Company is hiring for a store position in Winchester, VA. You will prepare items for the salad bar, ensure food safety, and manage stock during shifts. This role requires compliance with PPE, equipment checks at shift start, and a commitment to clean, safe work areas.

Ideal candidates can lift 25 lbs, stand for portions of the shift, and meet the company performance standards including regular attendance. Salary ranges hourly between shown figures.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and to comply with company policies and safety regulations.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job.
• Must agree to wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.

Responsibilities

• Prepare items for salad bar - cut fruit, set up salad bar, and keep all items stocked and fresh.
• Execute all food safety requirements for the salad bar.
• Promptly, at the start of the shift, the team member will review the work schedule, check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Receive, store, and stock items.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, all tools and equipment, all display cases, all floors, and all counters.
