Medix Technology is seeking a SailPoint Solutions Engineer for a 6-month contract-to-hire, fully remote in the United States. The role focuses on expanding SailPoint IdentityNow/IdentityIQ with Epic and clinical system integrations, leading a small team, and aligning security controls with HIPAA.

• 4+ years of hands-on technical architecture, configuration, or administration with SailPoint IdentityNow (IDN) or SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ).
• Advanced proficiency with PowerShell scripting for identity automation.
• Proven experience integrating Sailpoint with healthcare / clinical applications (Epic, PACS, etc.).
• SailPoint Certifications - Identity Security Leader, IdentityNow Administrator, or IdentityNow Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Execute a Sailpoint Roadmap to scale automated provisioning and lifecycle management across 15,000+ job codes.
• Lead the full lifecycle of Sailpoint integrations with Active Directory, Epic, clinical applications and HRIS platforms via REST APIs and native connectors.
• Plan, manage and execute SailPoint feature development from discovery through deployment and maintenance.
• Perform direct Sailpoint configuration, including profile setups and workflow optimizations, with PowerShell scripts.
• Facilitate discovery sessions with cross-functional leaders to analyze workflows and RBAC entitlements.
• Provide team leadership, direction, code reviews, and mentorship for a SailPoint team.
• Ensure identity governance practices align with HIPAA and security policies.

Job Title: Sailpoint Solutions Engineer - Remote - 259543

Work Location: 100% Remote - EST Hours

ABOUT OUR CLIENT / ABOUT THIS ROLE

Our client is a premier regional healthcare system operating multiple hospitals, clinical facilities, and a workforce of over 15,000 employees. Dedicated to providing high-quality patient care and advanced digital healthcare services, the organization relies heavily on a secure, compliant, and efficient IT infrastructure.

Having implemented SailPoint IdentityNow approximately two years ago, the health system is now scaling its Identity Program. This role is open to bring on a hybrid Product Leader and Hands-On Technical SME to plan and execute the 24-to-36-month strategic roadmap. This individual will be leading the expansion of automated provisioning across more than 15,600 job codes, driving downstream integrations with Epic, and other core clinical systems, and guiding a dedicated engineering team.

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute a Sailpoint Roadmap to scale automated provisioning and lifecycle management across 15,000+ job codes.
• Lead the full lifecycle of building Sailpoint integrations with Active Directory, Epic, clinical applications (e.g., PACS systems), HRIS platforms, and enterprise business apps via REST APIs and native connectors.
• Planning, managing and executing on SailPoint feature development from initial discovery / requirements through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
• Performing direct technical configuration in Sailpoint - including profile setups, workflow optimizations, and maintaining advanced PowerShell scripts to support complex identity logic and integration workflows.
• Comfortably facilitating discovery sessions with cross-functional and non-technical operational leaders to analyze workflows, validate job role access entitlements, refine Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and execute user access certifications.
• Providing team leadership, technical direction, code reviews, and mentorship for a small internal team of SailPoint Engineers
• Ensuring all identity governance practices align with HIPAA regulations, organizational security policies, and segregation of duty controls.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Healthcare Industry Highly Preferred
• 8-10+ years of professional experience in Identity / Access Management
• 4+ years of hands-on technical architecture, configuration, or administration with SailPoint IdentityNow (IDN) or SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ)
• Advanced proficiency with PowerShell scripting for identity automation
