Job summary

The University of Delaware is seeking sail instructors for Camp Androscoggin in Maine from June 19th to August 14th, 2026. Instructors will be responsible for teaching sailing to boys aged 8 to 15 and ensuring a safe learning environment.

Candidates should have prior sailing experience, an interest in working with children, and flexibility in collaborative settings. Compensation includes travel, room, and board.

Qualifications

• Prior dinghy sailing or coaching experience is a must.
• Interest in working with school-age children required.
• Certification as a US Sailing Level 1 Instructor is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment for all campers.
• Assist in multiple programs and work collaboratively with the team.
• Engage actively in sailing lessons and monitor student safety.
