What You’ll Do:
- Lead 4 one-hour sailing activity periods per day.
- Teacheverything from basic rigging and wind theory to racing skills and boat repair.
- Keepthe fleet in top shape through regular boat care and maintenance.
- Providelifeguarding support to keep our waterfront safe and fun.
- Assistwith high-energy Regattas and special waterfront events.
What You’ll Need:
- Sailing Skills: Proficiency in rigging and operating 420s, Hobie Ones, and/or Optis.
- Instructional Ability:Comfortable teaching campers (ages 7-17).
- Water Safety: Must be Lifeguard and CPR certified. (If you aren't yet, we can help you find a course! Or come early and take the course at Arcadia.)
- Small Engine Ops: Ability to operate a motorboat for safety and instruction.
- Team Mindset:Ready to work closely with the Head of Sailing and a crew of two other instructors.
- Commitment: Availability for the full summer season, June 12 - August 19 in Otisfield, Maine. (If you need the Lifeguard course, you'll need to arrive on June 7).
