An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join their cardiovascular lab team. This role involves preparing and positioning patients for radiographic imaging, ensuring safety and quality in all procedures. Summary:
To provide compassionate care to patients while producing high-quality radiographic images.
To be an integral part of the cardiovascular lab team in the roles of scrub assist, circulator, or monitor.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrates competence in preparing, identifying, positioning, protecting, and performing radiographic techniques for all imaging procedures.
Prepares room orientation based on the procedure and sets up sterile tables, Medrad injector table, contrast, heparinized saline, and ensures all equipment, including ultrasound, AngioJet, and cryoplasty, is ready. Ensures safety checks are completed daily.
Uses proper techniques to minimize radiation exposure to self, patients, the general public, and healthcare personnel. Modifies care according to the patient's age.
Provides patient care and service with compassion, dignity, and respect.
Continuously seeks and implements ways to improve personal, departmental, and organizational performance.

Minimum Education Requirements: ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist with MA License, BLS, and ACLS required. |
Minimum Work Experience: At least 2 years in special procedures or cardiac cath strongly preferred. CV, CI, VI, or RCIS Registry preferred. Scrub experience preferred. |
Other Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of radiographic and hemodynamic monitoring equipment, radiation safety, anatomy, computer skills, and extensive knowledge of catheters, wires, and revascularization tools. Ability to recognize abnormal cardiac rhythms, lab values, and patient status changes, and communicate effectively with the team. Capable of scrubbing and assisting on procedures as directed by the physician, within scope of practice. Upholds ethical and professional conduct as per ARRT Code of Ethics. Flexibility to work overtime and on-call as needed. |
