Job summary

Downtown Emergency Service Center (DESC) seeks a Sage Psychotherapist to join a multi-disciplinary team serving adults with severe mental illness. You will provide short-term individual and group therapy for enrolled clients, many of whom are homeless or formerly homeless.

Qualifications

• Understanding CBT concepts and delivering psychotherapy within a recovery model.
• Ability to engage clients and work collaboratively with care teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide brief individual counseling (≈6 months) using CBT within a recovery model.
• Facilitate group counseling with clients in collaboration with DESC staff.
• Develop measurable therapy goals and document services.
• Engage in outreach and ensure service plans are individualized.
• Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment as needed.
