Job summary

Explore St. Louis is seeking a highly experienced Controller to manage accounting and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong internal controls. This role leads the day-to-day accounting function, supports the CFO, and owns Sage Intacct functionality to drive process improvements.

The successful candidate will supervise the Finance team, implement robust closing calendars, and ensure compliant application of GAAP across all filings and reports for strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA preferred but not required when supported by experience.
• Experience supervising or managing accounting staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Direct and supervise accounting personnel and establish responsibilities, deadlines, and review procedures.
• Serve as the primary owner of Sage Intacct and coordinate with CFO on financial reporting.
