Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to lead safety programs, audits, and employee advocacy on a site basis, delivering training and risk mitigation. You will partner with leadership to implement data-driven safety practices that protect associates and support efficient operations.

The role requires knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910, strong communication and teamwork, and the ability to work flexible shifts across delivery stations. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) field OR a Bachelor's in an EHS-related background OR 6 months in a safety role at Amazon.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations 29 CFR 1910.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in workplace security matters.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety programs with data-driven strategies and lead audits, investigations and risk assessments.
• Deliver safety training and champion continuous improvement for safety and productivity.
• Advocate for associate wellbeing and build partnerships to drive behavioral safety.
• Translate safety data into narratives that influence decisions and program adoption.
