Job summary

Avtron Power Solutions in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Safety Technician to support EHS programs across our Cleveland operations. You will help maintain a safe, compliant, and training-focused work environment while supporting growth and development initiatives.

You will help build the Allen Facility Safety Dojo, create hands-on safety training materials, train new hires, and partner with Operations, Facilities, and People & Culture to drive safety, engagement, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and general workplace safety standards.
• Experience supporting employee training, onboarding, instructional activities, or safety education programs preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills .
• Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and facilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and basic reporting/documentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Safety Program Support: Support daily execution of EHS programs, policies, procedures, and initiatives across all Cleveland facilities.
• Safety inspections, audits, and walkthroughs to identify hazards, unsafe behaviors, and compliance gaps.
• Assist in investigation of workplace incidents, near misses, and safety concerns; document actions and follow-up.
• Monitor OSHA compliance, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
• Support safety metrics tracking, reporting, and trend analysis for improvements.
• Maintain safety documentation, records, permits, and compliance files.
• Assist in emergency preparedness activities and drills.
• Lead safety risk assessments and safety stand-downs across Cleveland.
• Promote proactive safety culture through engagement and on-floor visibility.
• Help develop Allen Facility Safety Dojo and training environment.
• Assist in building hands-on training modules and materials within the Safety Dojo.
• Train new hires on safety expectations during onboarding.
• Coordinate monthly training plans and safety certifications for staff.
• Track training completion and recertification requirements.
• Create visual management tools and safety boards for safety practices.
