Halo Technical Solutions Global in Vernon, TX is seeking an entry-level Safety Technician to support daily field safety operations, inspections, hazard identification, and basic compliance tasks under the Safety Manager. You will help implement safety programs, maintain records, and assist with training coordination.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of Construction Safety experience.
• OSHA 30 Certification is required.
• First Aid and CPR certifications required.
• AED Certification from American Heart Association (within 30 days on site).
• Strong communication and field decision-making abilities.
• Ability to enforce quality and safety standards in real time.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce site-specific safety programs per OSHA and project needs.
• Conduct daily safety walks, audits, and site inspections.
• Maintain accurate EHS documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Perform routine site walkthroughs and field safety observations.
• Identify, document, and communicate potential hazards.
• Check equipment, work areas, and site conditions for safety compliance.
• Verify proper use and condition of PPE.
• Support basic environmental safety checks (air quality, noise).
• Maintain logs, safety records, and maintenance documentation.
• Prepare safety reports for management and coordinate safety training.

Compensation:

$28.00 (DOE)|Per Diem: $4,515| W2 Full Time|Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental and other voluntary benefits

Position Overview

The entry level Safety Technician supports daily field safety operations by helping maintain a safe, compliant, and organized job site. This role assists with inspections, hazard identification, safety documentation, and basic compliance support under the direction of the Safety Manager or site leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce site-specific safety programs in alignment with OSHA regulations and project requirements
• Conduct daily safety walks, audits, and site inspections
• Maintain accurate EHS documentation and ensure full regulatory compliance
• Conduct routine site walkthroughs and field safety observations
• Identify, document, and communicate potential safety hazards
• Assist with checking equipment, work areas, and site conditions for safety compliance
• Verify proper use and condition of personal protective equipment
• Support basic environmental safety checks, such as air quality or noise monitoring, as needed
• Maintain inspection logs, safety records, and equipment maintenance documentation
• Assist with preparing safety reports for management
• Help coordinate or support employee safety training sessions
• Reinforce safe work practices and OSHA/project safety standards
• Promote a strong safety culture across the job site

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of Construction Safety experience
• Experience with data center or large-scale industrial projects preferred
• OSHA 30 Certification
• First Aid/CPR certification
• AED Certification from American Heart Association (ability to obtain within the first 30 days of being onsite)
• Strong communication, and field decision-making ability
• Ability to enforce quality and safety standards in real time
• Commitment to accountability, safety, and quality

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

• Associate degree, trade school, technical certification, or related field experience preferred
• Ability to analyze safety data and trends to drive continuous improvement
• Experience working on data center, mission-critical, or high-tech construction projects

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Active construction environment with indoor and outdoor work in varying temperatures
• Extended periods of walking and standing
• Frequent climbing of ladders and scaffolds and use of aerial lifts/MEWPs following required training
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in confined or elevated spaces
• Availability for extended shifts, nights, and weekends during water events
