Job summary

Umicore Pasadena, TX is seeking a Training Coordinator to develop, coordinate, and administer onboarding and technical training programs. You will ensure employees are competent, qualified, and compliant before performing work independently, with a focus on safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

You will partner with Operations, EHS, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and HR to create a highly skilled workforce capable of safely operating processes while meeting company and regulatory

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, Safety, Engineering, Education, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, pharmaceutical, catalyst, or industrial operations.
• Experience developing and delivering technical training programs.
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and manufacturing safety practices; SOP development and document control.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety onboarding and ensure EHS training completion.
• Coordinate onboarding for employees, contractors, interns, and temporary personnel.
• Develop structured onboarding for Process Operators and qualification plans.
• Coordinate work area training on SOPs, batch records, work instructions, process flow, CCPs, equipment operation, quality, GMP/docs, housekeeping.
• Maintain training matrices and supporting audits.
• Maintain certification records for equipment and process qualifications.
• Support LMS implementation and digital training records.
• Promote continuous learning and monitor training KPIs.
• Coordinate cross-training initiatives to improve workforce flexibility.
