Stella-Jones Corporation is seeking an EHS Supervisor to ensure EHS and quality compliance at the facility located in Cordele, GA. The role includes inspections, audits, training, and implementing safety programs.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years EHS consulting or facility EHS in manufacturing industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Health and Safety facility inspections, audits, and training.
  • Implement Health and Safety policy, programs, and procedures.
  • Environmental Facility Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
  • Environmental Audits: Perform audits to identify potential areas of improvement and ensure adherence to environmental standards.
  • Permit Applications: Manage environmental permit applications, renewals, and modifications to ensure timely submissions and approvals.
  • Incident Investigation: Respond to and investigate any environmental incidents, spills, or concerns, ensuring proper mitigation and corrective actions are taken.
  • Provides directions to other department supervisors and plant employees regarding health and safety matters
  • Accurate and timely Health and Safety reporting and recordkeeping
  • Occasional travel to EHS training events
  • May be responsible for additional plant operations
  • Participates and contributes to company safety program
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Job description

The EHS Supervisor is responsible for ensuring EHS and Quality compliance at the facility location.

Qualifications:


  • Education: (Required) High School Diploma or GED; (Preferred) Bachelor's Degree in Environmental or Safety Science

  • Experience: 5 years + EHS consulting or facility EHS in a manufacturing industry preferred


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Proficiency with computers (specifically Microsoft Office Products)
