Job summary

McClure Company seeks a Safety Specialist to support the Safety Department across office staff, drivers, service, and field sites. You will supervise safety initiatives under the Director of Safety, conduct inspections, and lead investigations to improve risk management.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Safety or equivalent experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel to PA and surrounding states. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Safety or related field or 2+ years of safety experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and activities simultaneously.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet applications.
• Willingness to obtain additional training to grow in the role.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with employees.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide safety training for employees on policies, regulations, and procedures.
• Recommend, warn and advise employees at all levels on hazards and corrective measures.
• Conduct thorough accident investigations and determine root causes.
• Interpret federal, state, and local safety health regulations.
• Visit job sites and conduct frequent inspections.
• Identify trends from leading and lagging indicators.
• Support company employees with various safety initiatives.
• Promote and build the company's safety culture.
• Travel to various company work sites in all weather conditions as needed.
• May be stationed at a job site for extended periods.
• Other duties as assigned.
