Job summary

McClure Company in Pennsylvania is seeking a Safety Specialist to support the Safety Department in all aspects of safety and risk management under the Director of Safety. This full-time role involves training staff, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with regulations across offices and sites.

The position requires site visits, collaboration with employees, and travel to PA and surrounding states. Excellent communication and a proactive safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety or related field required.
• 2+ years of safety experience or supporting a safety program preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; willing to learn and develop.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide safety training for employees on policies, regulations, and procedures.
• Investigate accidents and identify root causes; recommend corrective actions.
• Interpret federal, state, and local safety regulations.
• Visit job sites and conduct frequent inspections.
• Identify trends from safety indicators to improve risk management.
• Support safety initiatives and promote the company’s safety culture.
• Travel to various company work sites, including long trips as needed.
