Job summary

HazTek Safety Management seeks a Construction Safety Professional in Wilkes-Barre, PA to provide on-site safety support for a campus-wide cabling project. Responsibilities include site walks, hazard identification, and coordination with leadership and contractors to ensure safety compliance.

The role requires OSHA 30, 5+ years in construction safety (or 3 years plus CHST or degree), and strong communication. Hours are Monday-Thursday, 3:30 p.m.–2:00 a.m., with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Five years of construction safety experience; or three years of construction safety experience plus a CHST certification or relevant degree.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently during second-shift hours.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. (four 10-hour shifts).

Work includes running cable, adding new ports, and installing cable trays and tray hooks. Occasional core drilling will be performed by a mechanical contractor.

• Partner with site leadership and contractors to address safety concerns and follow up on corrective actions.
