Job summary

HazTek Safety Management is seeking a Construction Safety Professional to provide on-site safety support for a campus-wide cabling project in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Responsibilities include site walks, safety briefings, and coordinating corrective actions with contractors.

The role requires OSHA 30, 5 years of construction safety experience (or 3 years plus CHST or degree), and strong communication/documentation skills. Schedule is four 10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday, 3:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification is required.
• Five years of construction safety experience; or three years of construction safety experience plus a CHST certification or relevant degree.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently during second-shift hours.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site walks and monitor contractor activities for compliance with project safety requirements.
• Review work plans, identify potential hazards, and communicate safe work practices to crews.
• Partner with site leadership and contractors to address safety concerns and follow up on corrective actions.
• Participate in safety meetings and maintain required safety documentation.
