As a Safety Specialist II, you will report to Project Safety Manager. Your primary responsibilities centers on the successful implementation and support of the Site Specific Safety Plan in the field. You will assist the Project Safety Manager with the application of the contract, client safety expectations, Kiewit's Corporate Safety Manual, Corporate Crane Procedures Manual, District Standards, and all laws governing the work. You will also verify to ensure that work is being executed as planned, problem-solve with operations and craft, assist with corrective measures, and provide resources to correct and maintain solutions.
Kiewit’s Northern California District is one of Kiewit’s leading infrastructure districts specializing invarious typesof work in the heavy civil, power, transportation, and water resource markets. Although most of our work is regionally based in Northern California, we also pursue various projects across the west coast. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about infrastructure and committed to the construction industry and seek a long-term career.
This position will be located on one of our project sites, which may be located in the SF Bay area or Sacramento area.
Base Compensation: $70,947-$108,954 This position may qualify for a cost-of-living adjustment added to base salary for employees based in select Northern California locations. (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
