Qualifications
5-10 years of ET&D or Civil Safety experience
MVR qualifies individual to be an approved company driver
Responsibilities
Advise on provisions to minimize safety risks
Conduct safety inspections and compliance for OSHA and DOT
Train crews on current HSE practices and policies
Prepare reports on observations and incidents
Maintain records of safety-related incidents
Ensure Safety databases are up to date
Complete safety pre-qualifications for clients
Communicate with senior personnel on safety needs
Monitor compliance and identify safety issues
Intervene in unsafe activities
Report to PGS Safety Director
Skills
Proven experience as safety specialist in the power construction industry
In-depth knowledge of OSH guidelines and practices
Experience in reporting and developing policies
OSHA 30 Training
CUSP certification, or must be able to attain within 6 months of hire date
Experience in implementing OSH training programs
Proficient in MS Office
Excellent communication and advisory skills
Diligent with an analytical mind
BSc/Ba in business administration, Safety or relevant field
