Job summary

A leading utility construction company in North Carolina is seeking a Safety Coordinator to oversee safety training and enforce safety policies for electric line construction projects. The ideal candidate should have over 3 years of safety experience in utility construction, strong knowledge of safety protocols, and relevant safety accreditations. Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the utility construction business with a focus on safety.
• Strong understanding of overhead electric line construction work.
• Accredited in safety, including OSHA 30-hour, First Aid/CPR, and Smith System Trainer.
• Ability to perform audits and document findings of company procedures and practices.
• Effective communicator, computer literate with familiarity of MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain condition and operation of Emergency Response equipment.
• Investigate reportable accidents, injuries and job damages.
• Oversee/coordinate and monitor contract service/inspection of company fire/safety equipment.
• Conduct/coordinate classroom and field training meetings as needed.
• Assist in preparation of materials for monthly safety meetings.
