Job summary
A leading utility construction company in North Carolina is seeking a Safety Coordinator to oversee safety training and enforce safety policies for electric line construction projects. The ideal candidate should have over 3 years of safety experience in utility construction, strong knowledge of safety protocols, and relevant safety accreditations. Qualifications
3+ years of experience in the utility construction business with a focus on safety.
Strong understanding of overhead electric line construction work.
Accredited in safety, including OSHA 30-hour, First Aid/CPR, and Smith System Trainer.
Ability to perform audits and document findings of company procedures and practices.
Effective communicator, computer literate with familiarity of MS Office.
Responsibilities
Maintain condition and operation of Emergency Response equipment.
Investigate reportable accidents, injuries and job damages.
Oversee/coordinate and monitor contract service/inspection of company fire/safety equipment.
Conduct/coordinate classroom and field training meetings as needed.
Assist in preparation of materials for monthly safety meetings.
