YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

Under limited supervision, the Safety Specialist will implement and administer all aspects of the corporate environmental, health, and safety (EHS) program and the site-specific safety program for the assigned area or responsibility.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Implement and administer environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs and site-specific plans.
• Conduct and facilitate basic trainings, continuously educating, coaching, and mentoring employees in classrooms, meetings, or job walks.
• Perform regular site inspections and observations, engaging with employees and management to promote safe work practices, recognizing and rewarding safety achievements.
• Document findings, compile reports, analyze data, and track progress, maintaining records for long-term storage.
• Coordinate with clients, project management, field supervision, and regional leadership to ensure successful EHS program implementation and represent safety in meetings.
• Participate in pre-task planning, coordinate shift start activities, and ensure teams are prepared to work safely.
• Conduct environmental sampling using appropriate tools and record findings.
• Manage emergency response, incident investigations, and corrective actions, including documentation and sharing lessons learned.

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

• Bachelor's degree in environmental, health, safety, or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
• 0-6 months of experience with a bachelor's degree.
• Up to 5 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.

TRAVEL:

• Some travel may be required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Primarily indoor work with environmental conditions such as lighting and air conditioning; outdoor work may involve noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical activities like climbing ladders and walking on uneven terrain.
