Your Next Opportunity

Under limited supervision, the Safety Specialist will implement and administer all aspects of the corporate environmental, health, and safety (EHS) program and the site-specific safety program for assigned area or responsibility.

What You’ll Do

• Implement and administer environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs and site-specific plans.
• Conduct orientation and basic training sessions; educate, coach, and mentor employees and management.
• Perform regular site inspections, engage with employees, and promote safe work practices; recognize and reward safety efforts.
• Document findings, create reports, analyze data, and maintain records.
• Coordinate with project teams and leadership to ensure successful EHS program implementation and represent safety in meetings.
• Participate in pre-task planning and ensure teams are prepared for safe work.
• Conduct environmental sampling using appropriate tools.
• Coordinate emergency responses, investigate incidents, and develop lessons learned.

What You Bring To Us

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental, health, safety or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
• 0-6 months of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 5 years with a high school diploma.

Travel

Some travel may be required.

Working Conditions

• Primarily indoor work with environmental variations; may include outdoor work on construction sites.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in various climates, and navigate different terrains.
