Job summary

Phillips Infrastructure is seeking a Safety Specialist for field-based work across project sites in Florida. You will support regional teams, ensure compliance with safety protocols, conduct inspections, and facilitate training to workers on site.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Safety, certification (ASP or GSP), and construction safety experience. Expect travel to multiple sites, collaboration with safety professionals, and ongoing regulatory knowledge maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field is required.
• ASP or GSP certification required.
• At least 1 year of construction safety experience or two construction safety internships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular walk-through inspections of construction areas to ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory safety standards.
• Identify, document, and recommend resolutions for hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions; follow up to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Assist in the preparation of safety documentation, including inspection reports, accident-related forms, and corrective procedure recommendations.
• Collaborate with the Regional Safety Manager and regional teams to plan inspections, manage safety supplies, and prepare for upcoming work.
• Assist in investigations of personal injury and property damage, compiling data and reports as required by company procedures and regulatory standards.
• Conduct onboarding and training for new hires, and deliver ongoing safety training to employees.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all applicable health and safety regulations.

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field is required.
• Professional safety certification (ASP or GSP designation from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals) required.
• At least one year of construction safety experience or two construction safety internships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
