Job summary

Greiner Industries is seeking a skilled Safety Specialist to join our team in Mount Joy, PA. The role focuses on reviewing, evaluating, and enhancing workplace safety to prevent injuries and incidents across facilities, fleets, and field operations.

You will conduct inspections, lead safety trainings, investigate incidents, and maintain compliance documentation, while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement. This is a 1st shift position with a $2,500 new hire bonus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, IH, EH, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of safety administration experience in fabrication/manufacturing.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

  • Promote safe work practices and address safety concerns in facilities and jobsites.
  • Review daily field safety reports, identify trends, and develop toolbox talks and safety communications.
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, observations, and facility walkthroughs; track and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Support jobsite safety activities, including site inspections, JSA reviews, safety meetings, and employee coaching.
  • Deliver and coordinate safety training programs, including new‑hire orientation and required equipment and driver training.
  • Maintain training records, certifications, qualifications, and compliance documentation.
  • Manage PPE, safety supplies, first‑aid materials, respirators, and related inventories.
  • Support fleet safety and driver compliance programs, including DOT and FMCSA requirements.
  • Assist with incident investigations, documentation, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking
  • Prepare reports, maintain safety records, and support continuous improvement of safety and compliance programs.

Safety Specialist

Overview

Greiner Industries is seeking a skilled Safety Specialist to join our team. The Safety Specialist is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and analyzing workplace environments to develop and implement programs that prevent injury, illness, and unsafe conditions. The Safety Specialist provides hands‑on support for safety programs across manufacturing, transportation, field operations, and jobsites through inspections, training, incident investigations, compliance monitoring, and employee engagement.


Key Responsibilities


  • Serve as a safety resource for employees and supervisors by promoting safe work practices and addressing safety concerns in facilities and jobsites.

  • Review daily field safety reports, identify trends, and develop toolbox talks and safety communications.

  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, observations, and facility walkthroughs; track and follow up on corrective actions.

  • Support jobsite safety activities, including site inspections, JSA reviews, safety meetings, and employee coaching.
