The Safety & Training Specialist position is responsible for providing field safety support and training to West Region team members within a defined geographic area. The role involves performing safety observations, coaching on hazard identification, risk reduction, and work methods. The specialist also leads safety investigations and collaborates with operational supervision to develop best practices and corrective actions to reduce risk and human error.
This role involves exposure to environmental hazards such as fumes, mechanical parts, and noise at construction sites. Physical demands include occasional lifting up to 25 pounds and mobility requirements for fieldwork. The position is full-time, generally Monday to Friday, with possible long hours, weekend work, and travel, including overnight stays, especially during emergencies like storms.
