We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Specialist to join our team at a fast-paced Pharmacy fulfillment warehouse. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA standards, pharmacy regulations, and company policies. The Safety Specialist will foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement to protect our team members, ensure product integrity, and support efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• :Develop, implement, and monitor warehouse safety programs and training specific to pharmaceutical handling and order fulfillment operations
• .Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and facility inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards
• .Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, FDA, DEA)
• .Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; maintain accurate reports and implement corrective actions
• .Lead training sessions for warehouse personnel on safety procedures, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), proper material handling, and emergency response protocols
• .Collaborate with HR and operations management to ensure workers' compensation claims are appropriately documented and followed up
• .Maintain MSDS/SDS documentation and oversee chemical storage safety
• .Participate in the design and implementation of ergonomic solutions to reduce workplace injuries
• .Serve as the primary contact for regulatory inspections related to safety
• .Promote safety awareness and drive continuous improvement through employee engagement, suggestion programs, and visual communication tools
