Qualifications

Job description

Position Summary: Assists in all safety-related functions as directed by the Safety Director. Develops and maintains professional relationships both inside and outside the company to promote safety at TP Mechanical, representing the Safety Department with professionalism.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Performs field safety audits and recommends corrective actions as needed.
2. Conducts safety orientations for new hires.
3. Assists with safety incident investigations and OSHA investigations.
4. Recommends disciplinary actions to management for safety violations.
5. Conducts or assists with safety training sessions.
6. Performs other safety-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience/Qualifications Required:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry or a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health.

- OSHA 30-Hour Certification.

Job Skills:

• Proficiency with Windows-based software (Excel, Word) and email systems.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Physical ability to climb (extreme heights), crawl, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in confined spaces without claustrophobia.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Special Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License.
