Jobot in Charlotte, NC is seeking a permanent Safety Specialist to join our manufacturing safety team. You will develop, implement, and monitor safety programs to protect workers and ensure compliance with OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Safety, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety specialist role within the manufacturing industry.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification is preferred.
• In‑depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations.
• Plan and implement training for employees in work site safety practices.
• Conduct safety inspections and participate in audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Perform hazard assessments, job hazard analysis (JHA) and job safety analysis (JSA).
• Conduct incident investigations, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Track and analyze incident data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Maintain safety files and records, ensuring accurate documentation of all safety processes and incidents.
• Promote a culture of safety among employees through education, training, and communication.
• Stay up‑to‑date with latest safety regulations and best practices in the industry.
