Job summary

Eckerd Connects in Washington, DC is seeking a Safety, Security and Transportation Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the Safety, Security and Transportation department, ensuring safety for students, staff, and center property.

The role requires overseeing staff performance, scheduling 24/7 coverage, developing safety and disaster plans, and coordinating with law enforcement and OSHA standards to maintain compliant operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, police science or related field preferred.
• Three to five years work-related supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of Safety, Security & Transportation to ensure safety for students, staff, and center property.
• Evaluate staff performance, provide training, and implement personnel changes as approved by the Center Director.
• Develop and monitor staff schedules for 24/7 coverage.
• Develop and maintain Center Safety Plan and related disaster and evacuation plans; conduct annual risk assessment.
