Job summary

Eckerd Connects seeks a Safety, Security & Transportation Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Safety, Security, and Transportation department, ensuring maximum safety for students, staff, and property.

You will evaluate performance, train staff, and maintain comprehensive safety plans including disaster and weather-related contingencies, while coordinating with law enforcement and ensuring OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, police science or related field preferred.
• Three to five year’s work-related supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.
• Required to pass a drug screen per policy.
• Nationwide criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• The Safety, Security & Transportation Manager supervises day-to-day operations to provide maximum safety and security for students, staff, center property and the surrounding community.
• Evaluates staff performance, provides staff training and implements departmental personnel changes as approved by the Center Director.
• Develops and monitors staff schedules for 24-hour, 7 day a week coverage.
• Develops and maintains Center Safety Plan, Emergency and Disaster Plan and conducts yearly risk assessments.
• Establishes and communicates safety, security, and fire prevention policies with center and regulations.
• Serves as the center’s representative and maintains liaison with law enforcement agencies.
• Responsible for monitoring all center facilities to ensure OSHA standards compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• The Safety, Security & Transportation Manager evaluatese staff performance and provides staff training and implement departmental personnel changes as approved by the Center Director.

• Develop and maintain Center Safety Plan, and Emergency and Disaster Plan (and weather-related Evacuation Plan) and conduct the yearly risk assessment survey.
• Establishes and communicates safety, security, and fire prevention policies with pertinent center and DOL regulations to students and staff.
• Serves as the center’s representative and maintains effective liaison with law enforcement agencies in the community.
• Responsible for monitoring all center facilities to ensure compliance with OSHA Standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, police science or related field preferred.
