Possession of a bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience in law enforcement or working with youth in a leadership, mentoring, or role modeling capacity. Substitution(s): Additional experience as stated above may substitute for the bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis.

Possession of a valid driver’s license.
Possession of valid certifications in Basic First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated Electronic Defibrillation (AED), and Crisis Prevention & Intervention (CPI) required upon completion of the probationary period.
Thorough knowledge of methods of individual and group supervision; considerable knowledge of health and safety regulations; considerable knowledge of first aid techniques and health and safety regulations; general knowledge of community resources to assist children and families; general knowledge of investigative procedures; some knowledge of the National Incident Management System procedures; ability to effectively interact with persons of a different race, ethnic background, gender, or sexual orientation; ability to work cooperatively with School District personnel, parents, students, and the general public; ability to communicate orally and in writing; ability to physically subdue persons; ability to monitor and control large groups of people; ability to assess security needs of schools.
