Job summary

The Balfour Hotel Miami Beach is seeking a Safety & Security Officer to protect guests and staff while delivering warm, hospitality-driven service. You’ll monitor the property, respond quickly to incidents, and project calm confidence in every interaction.

You’ll work with teammates to maintain a secure environment, follow established procedures, and uphold the hotel’s reputation for thoughtful service on Miami Beach’s South of Fifth district.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate in Safety and Security Training and/or State Security License and background checks as required.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certifications from recognized providers.
• AHLA Certified Lodging Security Officer certification to be completed within 30 days of hire.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a safety and security role or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Certificate of Completion in Safety and Security Training and/or State Security License, including applicable background checks, per State requirements.
• CPR, First Aid and AED Certification from American Heart Association, Red Cross or HIS.
• AHLA Certified Lodging Security Officer certification completed within 30 days of hire.
