Job summary

Delaware Valley Job Corps in Callicoon, NY seeks a Safety & Security Advisor to lead the safety and security team, supervise incidents, and protect students and staff. You will conduct investigations, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate security and visitor management across the center.

Responsibilities include inspections, data reporting, mentoring students, and maintaining a safe learning environment while supporting center operations and career success standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to maintain a safe and structured environment.
• Valid in-state driver’s license required and must meet company insurability requirements.
• Experience in safety, security, or related role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Safety & Security team to keep students and staff safe.
• Conduct investigations of incidents and accidents, implementing measures to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure compliance with PRH, OSHA, and other safety directives.
• Perform routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and resolve hazards.
• Oversee security, visitor control, and student accountability.
• Coordinate staff coverage to maintain supervised student areas.
• Provide operational support to ensure smooth center operations.
• Mentor students and model Career Success Standards.
• Maintain accurate reports and data on safety, security, and incidents.
