Plymouth State University is seeking an experienced professional to manage critical safety and security technology systems across campus, supervise time-sensitive communications, and coordinate with State and local agencies.

Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities, you will lead installation and monitoring of campus security measures, manage door access and CCTV, and support parking, shuttle, and emergency response coordination.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage safety and security systems including door access, reports and troubleshooting.
  • Oversee panic button systems and CCTV; coordinate with police and campus partners.
  • Lead annual development of Plymouth State's Clery report.
  • Manage emergency communications and alerting across multiple channels.
  • Support Facilities Office operations including scheduling and logistics.
  • Coordinate shuttle planning and DOT compliance; develop tech-enabled support systems.
  • Serve as Emergency Response Liaison with municipal/state agencies.
  • Support parking operations including billing and dispute resolution.
  • Collaborate with Campus Safety and law enforcement on CCTV reviews while maintaining confidentiality.

Job description

  • Emergency management experience.

Under the general supervision of the Director of Facilities, manage critical safety and security technology systems, handle time-sensitive campus-wide communications for several departments, and support the needs of several areas within the Operations group. Regular communications with external entities such as the State, as well as managing critical messaging within and external to the campus. Must exercise sound judgement, think independently, prioritize, and understand complex systems.

Duties/Responsibilities
Manage Safety and Security systems including: (40%)
  • Administration of campuswide security systems, such as door carding - including the activation and deactivation of door access, moves, adds, changes, and deletes of door access deployments, production of reports, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage panic button systems across campus - including the management of deployments, ensuring testing occurs, training; serve as campus expert and manager of the camera system - including working with vendors, Plymouth and Holderness Police Departments, PSU Facilities departments, Title IX/Student Conduct.
  • Working on installations, access rights, placements, serve as PSU representative in the USNH security camera committee
  • Serve as Facilities staff member on areas of parking permits, keys, and ID cards; manage Blue Phone deployment, testing, site determination; coordinate regular campus safety drills - including residential fire alarm testing, and siren testing.
  • Ensure functionality of AED systems and serve as technology support for the daily crime log; assist PSU Facilities with fleet maintenance and vehicle safety record keeping.
Lead annual development of Plymouth State's Clery report (5%)
  • Work with several departments across PSU, as well as the Plymouth and Holderness Police Departments to collect information, organize, verify, and write required federal submission.
Manage, develop, and support communications including: (10%)
  • Send emergency alerts via RAVE, text, email, and other means. Serve as a member of the emergency closure team and the emergency response team.
Provide support, along with several other staff, for administrative operations including for the Facilities Office: (10%)
  • Assist with scheduling, workflow, logistics, communications, and other operational aspects of the Facilities department.
Shuttle Coordination: (15%)
  • Develop schedules, manage driver roster, ensure DOT compliance, oversee WEX program. Respond to crises. Oversee development of technology-based shuttle support systems.
Emergency Response Liaison: (5%)
  • Work with the emergency response team as it communicates and works with Municipal and State Agencies, as well as the campus community.
Support parking across campus, including billing, event support, student billing, parking disputes, communications and maintenance. (10%)
Work in conjunction with Campus Safety, Plymouth Police Department and other sworn law enforcement officials to review CCTV or other technological data and notify campus administration when needed, while maintaining an appropriate level of confidentiality. (5%)
Requirements

Compensation Pay Range

$45,790.00 - $81,530.00
