Job summary

Aqua Gulf Supply Chain, based in Jacksonville, FL, seeks a strategic Director of Safety & Risk to lead safety culture and regulatory compliance across our transportation and logistics network.

You will design, implement, and oversee safety programs, training, audits, and risk management, partnering with leadership to balance compliance, operations, and profitability.

Required: 5+ years in transportation safety or regulatory compliance, strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA/OSHA, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics or related field.
• Deep expertise in DOT, FMCSA, OSHA regulations and hazardous materials requirements.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in transportation safety, fleet management, or regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and best practices across fleet operations.
• Ensure full compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Lead CSA initiatives to reduce violations and improve safety scores.
• Maintain driver qualification files, drug/alcohol testing records, and vehicle maintenance logs.
• Prepare for, lead, and manage DOT/FMCSA audits.
