Job summary

Pratt Industries in Statesville, NC seeks a Safety Manager to lead and implement our safety programs on site. You’ll investigate incidents, manage workers’ compensation activities, and coordinate with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to contain costs.

Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, delivering training, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role requires a BS in Safety/Environmental field and 3–5 years of manufacturing safety experience.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Safety/Environmental field required.
• 3–5 years in safety/environmental roles in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and regulations.
• Bi-Lingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop company safety programs.
• Investigate incidents and manage workers' compensation activities.
• Provide timely safety communications to site management.
• Lead safety inspections and safety training programs.
• Conduct new-hire safety orientation and participate in hiring for safety needs.
• Assist with safety equipment purchases and fire protection systems.
• Prepare government postings and reports as required.
• Support continuous improvement and policy compliance.
