Job summary

Pratt Industries in Rock Hill, South Carolina is seeking a Safety Coordinator to oversee safety reporting, training and communications across multiple sites. The role requires ensuring compliance with safety policies and coordinating with the Division Safety Manager on procedures and audits.

The position supports on-site personnel, contractors, and visitors, with emphasis on risk reduction, incident reporting, and safety program execution across locations in the Recycling Division.

Qualifications

• 3-5 Years of Production, Safety and/or Operational Experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or pursuing industrial hygiene degree or five (5) years of safety.
• Knowledge of lean operational processes and OSHA safety standards.
• Ability to monitor machines, equipment and processes.
• Move quickly, lift 50+ pounds, and work in hot/cold environments.
• Willing to travel and work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Pre-employment, Random and Suspicion Drug tests are performed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper training, monitoring, and record keeping for all employees at assigned locations.
• Ensure on-site personnel, contractors, and visitors comply with safety policies and report exceptions.
• Maintain safety inspections, evaluations, and training at the home base plant.
• Inspect facility equipment, fire suppression, and egress areas for compliance on a schedule.
• Monitor housekeeping related to safety on a scheduled basis at designated locations.
• It is Pratt’s policy to work safely; ensure guards, lock-out, zero-energy-state and safe procedures.
• Assist with weekly and monthly safety reports for the Division and ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate with Safety Manager on safety policies and procedures.
• Other safety-related duties as assigned.
