Job summary

Endeavour builds technology infrastructure and seeks a Director of Health and Safety to lead all safety programs across our manufacturing and technology operations in Durham, NC. This role requires a hands-on leader who can influence at all levels while directing policy, training, and incident investigations.

You will drive a culture of safety, ensure OSHA compliance, and partner with executive leadership to monitor KPIs and risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, Industrial Safety, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive health and safety experience in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• 5+ years of leadership building safety programs and guiding senior leaders.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, incident investigation, hazard recognition, and risk assessment.
• Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, ASP or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve company-wide health and safety policies, procedures, standards, and training programs.
• Build and lead a proactive safety culture across manufacturing, engineering, facilities, field operations, and leadership teams.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health and safety regulations, including OSHA and environmental, industrial, and workplace safety standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, inspections, audits, and corrective action reviews to reduce operational risks.
• Lead incident response, investigation, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action planning, and follow-up verification.
• Establish safety metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting processes for executives and operations.
• Partner with site leaders to improve emergency preparedness, contractor safety, equipment safety, chemical safety, ergonomics, and job hazard analyses.
• Serve as internal resource for health and safety guidance during new product introduction, facility changes, or manufacturing scale-up.
