Job summary

8Fleet in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Senior Manager of Safety, Risk & Compliance to protect a large W-2 driver workforce and scale safety programs across locations.

You will lead Environmental Health & Safety, workers’ compensation, incident management, background checks, and regulatory compliance, partnering with People, Operations, Legal, and external vendors to reduce risk and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Environmental Health & Safety, Risk Management, or related fields.
• Experience supporting large hourly, driver, logistics, or multi-site workforces preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA/Cal/OSHA and workers' compensation requirements.
• Experience with background checks, drug screening, and DOT/non-DOT testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own safety and risk programs across all locations.
• Lead workers' compensation and injury management processes.
• Oversee incident, accident, and near-miss investigations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA and Cal/OSHA.
• Run background checks and drug screening for driver workforce.
• Partner with Operations, Fleet, Legal, and vendors.
• Lead safety readiness for new market launches.
• Monitor safety metrics and deliver regular reports.
