Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Construction Field Safety Representative to support excavation and concrete operations on an Amazon warehouse construction project in Sheboygan, WI. The role emphasizes hands-on field safety, collaboration with craft personnel and project supervision, and maintaining a productive, safe work environment.

The position requires OSHA 30 Construction Certification and experience with excavation and concrete construction activities, with preferred credentials

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Construction Certification is required.
• Experience supporting excavation and concrete construction operations is required.
• General contractor safety experience is preferred.
• Competent Person - Excavation & Trenching is preferred.
• CHST, ASP, CSP, or BCSP credential is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety support for excavation and concrete operations.
• Maintain a visible field presence alongside craft personnel and project supervision.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, field observations, and hazard assessments.
• Monitor excavation, trenching, concrete placement, and reinforcing activities.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements.
• Support excavation protective systems, access/egress, and spoil pile management.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans.
• Monitor heavy equipment operations and material handling activities.
• Communicate safety concerns and corrective actions to project leadership.
• Maintain safety documentation, inspections, and compliance records.
• Promote safe work practices through coaching and employee engagement.
• Help foster a proactive safety culture throughout the project.

Duration: 1+ Months (Immediate Need)

Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $45/hr

Per Diem: $125/Day (7 Days Per Week for Non-Local Candidates)

Completion Bonus: $150/month

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM | 40 Hours Per Week
