Job summary

T2 Contracting, Inc. in Charleston, SC is seeking a dedicated Safety Officer - Quality Control Manager. You will oversee QC on site and ensure all workers meet contract specifications and safety regulations, conducting inspections and documenting findings.

The role emphasizes hazard identification, accident prevention, and coordination with subcontractors, with a Monday–Friday schedule and access to base requirements. 60k-120k salary and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of combined experience as superintendent, inspector, QC manager, project manager, or construction manager.
• 5+ years of safety experience in a construction environment.
• Experience with hazard identification and safety compliance.
• Valid CQM-C certification.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health certification.
• Strong familiarity with USACE, EM 385-1-1, and government construction projects.
• Compliance with EM 385-1-1, Section 01.A.17 requirements.
• Ability to implement and enforce safety programs in accordance with regulations.
• Ability to work on Charleston Air Force Base.

Responsibilities

• Oversee QC at the job site and ensure workers meet contract specifications and safety regulations.
• Conduct and document three phases of control for all definable work features.
• Lead daily inspections and weekly QC meetings with thorough reporting.
• Carry out submittal reviews, approvals, and quality assurance inspections.
• Implement an effective accident prevention plan to maintain site compliance.
• Investigate incidents and complete OSHA reports and safety records.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance and participate in project meetings.
• Document daily observations to support project success and safety.
