Job summary

T2 Contracting, Inc. in Charleston, SC is seeking a full-time Safety Officer - Quality Control Manager to oversee site QC and safety programs. You will perform inspections, submittal reviews, and incident investigations to ensure compliance with contract specs and federal regulations.

The role requires extensive construction safety experience, CQM-C and OSHA 30 certifications, and the ability to work on Charleston Air Force Base. Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–5:00 pm with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of combined experience as a superintendent, inspector, QC manager, project manager, or construction manager.
• 5+ years of safety experience in a construction environment.
• Experience with hazard identification and safety compliance.
• Valid CQM-C certification.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health certification.
• Strong familiarity with USACE, EM 385-1-1, and government construction projects.
• Ability to implement and enforce safety programs in compliance with federal and local regulations.
• Ability to work on Charleston Air Force Base.

Responsibilities

• Oversee QC at the job site and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead three phases of control for definable work features and ensure craftsmanship and materials meet contract specifications.
• Lead daily inspections and weekly QC meetings, preparing reports and documenting findings.
• Carry out submittal reviews, approvals, and quality assurance inspections.
• Implement an effective accident prevention plan and OSHA incident reporting.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and participate in project meetings.
