Job summary

King Aerospace in Addison, TX seeks a Vice President of Safety, Quality, and Compliance to lead airworthiness, safety, and regulatory programs across MRO and ISR modification programs.

You will drive CAPA, audits, and a just culture while reporting to the COO, and you will build a high-performing SQC team. Willingness to travel 30-40% and maintain compliance across sites are required.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of progressive leadership in aviation quality, safety, and compliance.
• Proven ability to operate in government and commercial aviation environments.
• Strong knowledge of DCMA Instr 8210.1, FAA Part 145, FAR/DFARS, ITAR, and AS9100/AS9110.

Responsibilities

• Establish and champion strategic vision for quality systems (AS9100/AS9110, ISO 9001).
• Oversee QC/QA across MRO, modification, and flight operations for airworthiness.
• Lead CAPA programs and Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement initiatives.
• Champion Safety Management System with a just culture for hazard reporting.
• Direct EH&S to ensure OSHA/EPA compliance; manage audits and inspections.
• Lead investigations of mishaps and near-misses with corrective actions.
• Interface with FAA, DCMA, DOD, and foreign authorities; ensure regulatory readiness.
• Mentor Quality Directors, Safety Managers, Inspectors, and Compliance Specialists.
