Job summary

I-77 Mobility Partners LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking a safety professional to help develop and implement our safety program across maintenance and tolling activities. Under general supervision, you will conduct site safety observations and investigations.

You will train staff on procedures, oversee PPE usage, and coordinate with Operations, ITS, and management to ensure OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, and environmental standards are met.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with 3 years of related safety experience.
• Experience conducting safety audits and hazard assessments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA 1910 General Industry Standard (OSHA 1926 knowledge preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing safety programs for Maintenance and Tolling activities, and other OSHA safety compliance programs.
• Advises Operations & Maintenance, and ITS staff on safety protocols and procedures to ensure worker safety as per local, state, and federal agencies incl. OSHA, ANSI, NFPA.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify hazards and assess risks associated with various work activities.
• Assigns, develops and delivers training to employees on safety procedures, emergency response, and use of PPE.
• Assists with ordering necessary safety supplies and equipment (PPE).
• Perform regular and follow up inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Support response and closure of follow up items and corrective actions.
• Investigates incidents, injuries, and near misses to determine needed corrective actions.
• Maintains accurate records of training, inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
• Supports management of emergency situations including development of emergency response plans and drills.
